CENERGY

Tahunanui School  has been using way too much power this year, so  the Blue Crew has created a light bulb character called Cenergy. 

Cenergy is there to help everyone to remember to turn off the lights. We have made small posters that have been put in all classes at our school.

So when no-one is around...flick the switch.

SMOKE-FREE SIGNS

The blue crew have decided to update our school's smoke-free signs to make them bigger and brighter.

The reason we decided to do this is because the older ones are too small and dull and you cannot see them very well. There are only seven in our school and people don’t seem to notice the signs as there are often lots of cigarette butts left lying in our school ground.

Our signs will be brighter which will make more people hopefully stop smoking in our school.

Paper4Trees

At Tahunanui School we recycle as much as we can.  We are lucky that The Body Shop NZ sponsors us for recycling paper and cardboard.  The more we recycle the more we get rewarded for trees to plant around our school.
